Love Letter to God

My God, I Sense Your Love for Me.

As I was running at sunrise, I couldn’t help but see your love for me in the beautifully painted morning sky across the frozen winter fields.

I praise you for the beauty of your love for me!

When I’m feeling like I’ve failed You the most, I can hear your love for me in the sweet young voice of my son, my precious gift from You, as he sits in my lap and spontaneously says, “Mommy, I love you so much!

I praise you for the way you love me through others.

Your love is warmer than my comforting blanket that surrounds me on my coldest night.  You warm me from the inside and fill me with your love.

I praise you that I can feel your presence everyday!

When I choose to spend time in your presence, you fill me up, so much better than my most favorite foods ever could taste.  I don’t need to be dependant on any food or drink to get me through the day if I rely on the strength of your spirit.

I praise you that your spirit fills me every day!

Psalm 63:1-4 in the Message reads:  God- you’re my God!  I can’t get enough of you!  I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts.  So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory.  In your generous love I am really living at last!  My lips brim praises like fountains.  I bless you every time I take a breath.

Lisa

What is one way you can sense God’s love for you in your own everyday experiences?

WOW! I was just so blown away by listening to that word. I so needed to hear that.....and I heard it on Valentine's Day which made it even more meaningful in many ways. During our Bible Study this morning at Sandy Lake Wesleyan (we are doing Beth Moore's "James - Mercy Triumphs" - she asked if we have ever had a time in our life when we KNEW we were in the presence of God. These past 5 minutes I KNEW I was in His presence! It was sooo good! Thank you Jesus!
