See, I am doing a new thing!
Monday, January 9, 2012 at 8:25PM Isaiah 43:18-19 says
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."
Change isn't always easy is it? We are comfortable with what we know. Stepping out of our comfort zone is not the plan of choice! But God's plan and His changes are always for your good! (Jer 29:11)
Changing a website is no easy task. It sounds fun until you start to walk around in unchartered territory. When you know the answer is there somewhere beyond your sight, but you just can't see it.
It reminds me of my walk with God. I can't always see where he is leading me and at times I feel like I am walking in the dark, but I am called to walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Cor 5:7) Knowing he is holding onto me and leading me along the way, telling me not to fear, makes it so much easier than having to go it alone. (Is 41:10) He sees the road ahead, when I only see darkness. And at just the right time he shows me the new thing he is doing and opens my eyes to the road he is making in the desert to bring me into the promised land!
And so after months of working on this website we are finally done! The light has dawned on a new day! If you happen to see Stephanie Gardner around - please stop and thank her (and even give her a big hug!) for all the time and effort she put into making this site fresh, new & cute (one of the big requirements was cute ;)
My hearts desire is that you will find God here in a new a fresh way. I pray that you will connect through this site, that you will learn a lot about our Lord and Savior, you will be encouraged and you will be challenged to GO and live the life God has chosen for you. Remember - he is holding onto your hand and leading you through unchartered territory. You are not on this journey alone!

First, the new website is fabulous!! Thank you so much (and Stephanie!!) for connecting us in this type of forum! Secondly, though we haven't spoken much recently, your words about being drawn into the desert and heading towards our promised lands hit the bullseye of my heart! I've learned so much about the desert and my promised land this past year...and now it is spilling over into the worship arts ministry as well! The Lord is certainly doing a new thing...but look how He is connecting and weaving our hearts together as we are marching towards the capturing of our promised lands! I really like the live links to the scripture references in the blog! A very easy way to get a little more Scripture!
